What does Lean & Green & Responsibility mean?
At ORGATEX, Lean & Green & Responsibility stands for the combination of efficient action, environmentally conscious processes, and lived values. While lean methods reduce waste, green ensures resource conservation—and responsibility gives the whole thing attitude. We think sustainability comprehensively: ecologically, economically, and ethically.
Our three pillars of sustainable business practices
Ecology
We exclusively use green electricity and continuously analyze our energy consumption. We are planning to install our own photovoltaic system. In addition, we offset a portion of our CO₂ emissions through certified measures and promote sustainable mobility through company bike leasing.
Efficiency, quality, durability
We are increasingly developing digital solutions with lower material intensity – such as digital labels and IoT systems for sustainable intralogistics. In doing so, we rely on FSC-certified packaging and resource-saving materials like our "LongLife ECO" floor marking.
Responsibility
We support organizations such as Doctors of the World e.V., Engineers Without Borders e.V. and the German Solar Energy Promotion Association e.V. A special focus is placed on cooperation with a workshop for people with disabilities in the region, from which we regularly purchase products and services, thus promoting the professional participation of people with disabilities.

Large parts of our new production halls are operated in a climate-neutral manner.
The ORGATEX Group is making targeted investments in sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure. Large parts of the new production halls will operate in a completely climate-neutral manner. This is based on modern heat pump technology combined with energy-efficient underfloor heating. We consistently avoid the use of fossil fuels.
140 kW
Photovoltaic power for seasonal energy self-sufficiency
A high-performance 140 kW photovoltaic system on the roofs of the new halls generates a large portion of the required electricity. Combined with optimized production processes, this allows us to achieve complete energy self-sufficiency in these areas from April through September.
2 x 65 kW
Energy storage systems ensure supply overnight
In addition, two energy storage systems, each with a capacity of 65 kW, are available. They ensure that the system can reliably operate with self-generated electricity even at night.
This energy solution strengthens the Orgatex Group's long-term sustainability strategy and underlines its ambition to play a leading role in climate-friendly industrial development.
